Verwood Messy Church
Messy Church is a free event on Tuesday afternoons for young families run by Churches Together in Verwood with helpers from many of the local churches. It takes place in the Memorial Hall.
What happens at Messy Church?
Each session follows a similar format:
From 3.15pm Drinks and biscuits
3.30pm Short introduction to the theme for the session followed by an hour of different mainly craft based activities linked with the theme.
One of the activities normally involves making something out of wood with hammers and screwdrivers (always very popular!)
You decide which activities you want to do, in what order, and how long you want to spend doing each one.
4.30pm Short worship time with songs, a story and a prayer
4.45pm Buffet meal usually involving jacket potatoes and a range of fillings with a cake or chocolate biscuit to follow.
The event is free but there is an opportunity to make a donation towards the costs of the food and resources if you want to.
