On Saturday 17th November St Michael’s Parish Centre was filled with laughter, conversation and Christmas music. The Christmas Market had a range of stalls to appeal to all tastes. This year the new addition of a bottle tombola proved as popular with the adults as the Teddy tombola was with the children!
Thanks to the bakers, knitters and sewers for creating items for sale and the dedicated team of refreshment servers (sit down and put your feet up now!) Not only will our tummies be full, but our mugs warm, tissues safe and homes beautifully decorated.
We took an amazing £914.62! Well done and thank you to everyone who helped run a stall, donated items and of course spent your pounds on the day!
A big Thank You to all the local businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes and special thanks to Tansy for contacting everyone.
Just as in many homes around Christmas, families come together uniting generations in one room, at the Christmas Market the St Michael’s Church family came together. Having all ages together with a common cause created a great atmosphere. Sitting drinking hot drinks and enjoying sandwiches and cake, watching the joy on the faces of children at the Lucky Dip and adults winning a bottle; emotions that remind us of the blessings that Christmas will bring.
Thank you again to all of you for supporting this event,
