young families
We meet every Wednesday during term time at 10am in the Parish Centre and, when possible, in the church meeting room. There's a crèche in the Parish Centre, run by Marion Beard and four helpers, where we can leave our children, while we enjoy a variety of activities and talks by guest speakers. The children are well looked after in the crèche, where they play, sing songs, and enjoy a drink and a biscuit.

We have an annually elected committee which meets to discuss and arrange the program of events.

Our past activities have included yoga, an Indian head massage demonstration, a beauty therapy advice session, a talk on child development, and group discussions led by Kevin Allison. We have also had Tupperware and Body Shop mornings, where mums have browsed and purchased. Occasionally we have quizzes and coffee mornings, which gives mums time for adult conversation.

We also have a serious side, where we help the church at annual bazaars and fetes.

If you would like to come along and see what Young families is all about, the following information may be of use:-
  • Crèche fees are £1.50 per week per child (£1 per week per child if you have more than one child). Fees are payable half-termly in advance.
  • The crèche opens at 10am.
  • Guest speakers start promptly at 10.30am.
  • Children are collected at 11.45am.
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits costs £1 per week, payable weekly.
Please do come along as you will be very welcome.

If you require any further information, please contact Jackie Willment via the Parish Office.
