mothers' union
The Mother's Union is a world-wide Anglican organisation, whose purpose is to be concerned with all aspects of Christian family life.

We discuss any proposed legislation affecting the family, and pass our comments to the relevant Government committee. We actively monitor all forms of the media.

Many branches are involved in offering practical support - such as running créches and tea bars, debt councelling, providing holidays for those needing a break, and running child contact centres so that separated families can spend time together.

Locally our branches are involved in supporting a holiday home on the Isle of Wight, and two caravans at Durdle Door. We also knit clothes for premature babies, and comfort bears for children who have been in a disaster.

The Mothers' Union website is at http://www.themothersunion.org/.

For more information, please contact Jenny Burge, the Mothers' Union coordinator, via the Parish Office.
